Breakfast Service / Beverage Service for Suites and for Guest Rooms
Guest Rooms-- Year round, our guest rooms include breakfast for each day of your stay.
For Guests who have reserved with us up to October 15, 2010: If you pre-booked you were given our menu via email. The kitchen asks that your menu choices be submitted to the kitchen by 1:00 pm the day before; otherwise, the kitchen will make a choice for you after 1:00 pm. We want you to have your breakfast when you want it. We can accommodate any diet restriction. Please let us know your preferences. All pastry is homemade. ‘Side of fruit’ will be fruit in season.
Starting October 15, 2010-- We will serve all of our breakfast guests the Dale and Jo Breakfast of the day. This will allow us to take advantage of what is freshest in our Alaska market which can be very unpredictable. We will offer a different breakfast each day of the week. If at check-in you let us know you do not wish to have our breakfast of the day, the kitchen can make for you a boiled egg plate, a cereal plate, an old fashion oatmeal plate, or a custom breakfast based on what is in the pantry. For all guests who are on a special diet and who let us know their diet restriction at the time of reservation, we will continue to make a custom breakfast.
Special Diets-- If you are pre-dietpetic, we can easily prepare low carb, no sugar, high protein breakfasts for you. If you are vegetarian, just let us know. We have many homemade breakfasts for the non-meat eater. If there are any foods that you really dislike or which dislike you, just let us know.
Breakfast Service in Suites-- Our suites are vacation apartments with private kitchen and dining room. You have a choice to reserve the suite as a vacation apartment without breakfast for a lower rate. You will have beverage service in your suite. Or, you may reserve the suite with breakfast included for 4 adults at a higher rate. Additional breakfasts are $11.00 per person.
Beverage: Coffee, Tea Choices -- If you are in a guest room you will have your own coffee pot in the dining room with your name on it. There is also a selection of teas. If you are in a suite, your kitchen will have your coffee pot and tea kettle along with a selection of teas, fresh coffee plus a bean grinder.
Breakfast Entrees
1a) Quiche: Traditional Cheese and Ham served with side of fruit.
1b) Quiche: Veggie's Only, served with side of fruit.
2a) Yogurt Parfait: ___Homemade Cinnamon Yogurt Layered with Granola and Toasted Almonds, Or ___ Vanilla Yogurt Layered with Fresh Seasonal Fruit
3a) Fruit Tart: Homemade fruit tart. __Apple
3b) Southern Fruit Cobbler with seasonal fruit
4a) Homemade Swedish Muesli Traditional Style. Oats, raisin, cashews and honey toasted cereal. Traditional style includes fresh apples and oranges. Included will be berries in season. Served with milk.
4b) Homemade Muesli w/ Homemade Cinnamon-honey Yogurt. Apples and toasted almonds are layered with Muesli and Cinnamon-honey Yogurt in a parfait dish.
5) Two Boiled Eggs with side of fruit and choice of breads: __Multi-grain bread __English muffin __ If you are in a suite, we can give you fresh eggs to cook in your kitchen.
6) Bagel Plate with side of fruit and choice of __cream cheese __jams and butter __cheese cubes __ham (We purchase bagels the day before at our local bakery).
7b. Frittata. Egg, Bacon and Cheddar Cheese baked in an individual casserole dish served with a side of seasonal fruit.
8) Old Fashion Oatmeal slow cooked with raisins, milk and cinnamon served with your choice of: __ Toasted almonds __Pure maple syrup __Cream __brown sugar. Served with side of fruit.
11) Cereal, Served with side of fruit and milk: __Special K w dried strawberries __Raisin Bran __Grape Nuts If you are pre-booking let us know what cereal you want.
13) Vegetarian Brown Rice Multi-Veggie Salad with Chickpeas (requires 24 hour notice)
Children's Menu -- We ask the parents simply tell us what their children like. We will provide it for them. (Requires notifying kitchen by 1:00 pm the day before breakfast is to be served).
