Palm Queen B&B Room -- Very Quiet, Kitchen & Washer-Dryer Access
Handicap Friendly Bathroom
Our bed and breakfast Palm Queen Guest Room is located on the 1st floor and is the best room choice for guests with handicap needs or who simply do not like to do stairs. To access the Palm Gues Room, you will go from your car, across the front sidewalk, down one step on the sidewalk, and then up one step to enter the 1st floor. The Palm Room also has a handicap bathroom (see pictures below).
In addition to your private bedroom and bath, you will have direct access to a first floor guest kitchen, first floor guest dining room and 1st floor guest parlor. You have use of the 1st floor washer-dryer which is exclusive to the Jacquard Room and Palm Room only. Breakfast Service for 2 included each day of your stay. Your Palm bedroom has a Queen Memory Foam Topped Bed which is a slightly elevated height. Your adjoining bath has a double shower and the room is lined with handicap bar supports.
Views: The 1st floor guest dining room and parlor overlook our gardens, and the Alaska Range, plus the confluence of the Chena and Tanana Rivers. The Palm Room has two windows. One is a north window of our woods and back hill. The other window, which is a small window, is an East view of our yard and the confluence of the rivers.
Amenities for Your Palm Bedroom: Two closets each with 1 luggage rack, Satellite TV and DVD, Tower Fan and Air Purifier, Wi-Fi, Lap Blanket, A Small Library of Alaskan Books, Board Games, Extra Pillows and Blankets, Emergency Equipment Set, Shoe Shine Stool, Luggage Rack, 2-Flash Lights (Winter), Iron and Ironing Board, CD-Alarm, Black Out Shades. An adjustable ergonomic desk chair and computer desk is in each bedroom. The desk is appointed with scissors, pens, paper, nail file, and snack candies. Mini-massager. **If requested, we have a portable walker available. Note: This is our smallest room. There is room for 2 large suitcases in each of your 2 closets. If you are traveling with more luggage, please select a different room.
Amenities for Bathroom: Laundry Basket, Shampoo, Soap, Unlimited Bath Gel, 4 Bath Towels, 6 Wash Clothes, Scales, Hair Dryer, Lighted Vanity Mirror. All toilets are handicap height. Full Tub and Shower.
Housekeeping: Your bathroom will be cleaned daily and fresh towels given. Beds are made daily. All bedding, including blankets, duvets, and spreads, are cleaned for each guest. Bed linens are changed every 3rd day unless needed sooner. We want to take good care of your housekeeping needs without intruding on your privacy.
Laundry-- You have direct access to a washer and dryer.
Breakfast-- Each morning of your stay includes breakfast for two. Please see our menu.
Winter Car Plug In-- We provide an electrical plug in for one car per guest room.
Wi-Fi: Dale and Jo has Wi-Fi throughout and each bedroom has a computer desk.
